‘Suspicious incident’ under investigation in Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — The Commerce City Police Department is investigating a “suspicious incident” near Interstate 270 and Vasquez Boulevard.

Police closed East 56th Avenue between Vasquez Boulevard and Brighton Boulevard because of the incident.

The police department tweeted at 9:24 a.m., that officers were investigating the incident and asking the public to avoid the area.

Police have not released any information about the nature of the call.
