Here are the latest updates as results come in for the 2024 election in Colorado and the United States.

DENVER — It is Election Day. This live blog will track the latest results and updates in Colorado and the U.S. presidential race.

7:44 update: Jason Crow projected to win in House District 6

U.S. Rep. Jason Crow, a Democrat, will keep his House seat from District 6, the Associated Press projects. Early returns show Crow with 61% of the vote over 37.3% for Republican challenger John Fabbricatore.

7:15 update: Associated Press calls House District 1 race for Diana DeGette

The longtime Democratic representative for District 1 will return to the U.S. House of Representatives for another term, the Associated Press projects. Early results showed Rep. Diana DeGette had 77.87% of the vote, compared with 20.67% for Republican challenger Valdamar Archuleta.

7 p.m. update: Polls are closed in Colorado

The polls have closed in Colorado, and early results from counties will start to come in soon. Polls also closed at 7 p.m. in 14 other states.

The Denver Elections website still shows long lines to vote in-person at several polling locations, including more than an hour at the Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center. Voters who are in line at their polling location by 7 p.m. are allowed to vote.

What time do the polls close?

The deadline to vote in Colorado is 7 p.m. on Election Day. You can vote in-person or return your mail ballot at a drop box or in-person voting center. All voters who vote in-person must provide identification. Voters who are in line at their polling location by 7 p.m. are allowed to vote.

When do election results start coming in?

The first batch of results in Colorado will be released shortly after polls close at 7 p.m. on election night. Counties will release updated results throughout the evening. 9NEWS provides election results from the Associated Press.
