Police said none of the victims’ injuries appear to be life-threatening after the shooting in the 1300 block of Joliet Street.
AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police are investigating an overnight shooting Saturday morning that left 4 teens injured at a house party involving more than 100 minors and young adults.
Police said officers were in the area of the 1300 block of Joliet Street around 12:15 a.m. when they heard gunshots.
Four victims were taken or self-transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds; 2 19-year-old men, an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
They responded to the source of the shooting and found an active shooting scene outside of the house party while more than 100 people ran away or drove off.
Police said one 18-year-old driver created a safety risk to officers and partygoers and was disabled after a short pursuit.
The suspect ran away but was taken into custody shortly after and a handgun with a large capacity magazine was found in the vehicle. Police said it’s not clear at this point if the gun was used in the shooting.
