Devon McCormick worked at multiple facilities over the past three years, according to Loveland Police.

LOVELAND, Colo. — A former employee of a Loveland care facility is behind bars and faces multiple charges including attempted sexual assault of an at-risk person and indecent exposure.

Loveland Police said they were dispatched to assist another agency on July 27 of this year at a location in the 2100 block of South Garfield Avenue.

When they arrived there, an officer spoke with an employee of a care facility who said they saw Devon McCormick, a caregiver at the location, engaged in suspicious activity with a 78-year-old resident. Shortly after, the caregiver was terminated from the facility, according to police.

Investigators conducted follow-up interviews over the course of several weeks and formally launched a criminal investigation late last month.

On Oct. 3, an arrest warrant was issued for McCormick, a resident of Greeley. He faces the following charges:

  • Attempted sexual assault at-risk victim
  • Crimes against at-risk persons
  • Indecent exposure

McCormick remains in custody on a $250,000 cash bond.

He has been in the medical caregiving field for the past three years. Loveland Police provided the dates and locations where he worked during that time.

  1. The Gallery at Broomfield Assisted & Senior Living, 145 W. 169th Ave. in Broomfield – Aug. 20, 2024, to Oct. 2, 2024
  2. Pelican Pointe Health and Rehabilitation, 710 3rd St. in Windsor – July 25, 2023, to Dec. 22, 2023
  3. South Platte Health and Rehabilitation Center, 2200 Edison St. in Brush –  Oct. 12, 2021, to end of December 2021

Detectives have contacted all of the facilities above. They believe McCormick may have assisted family members with child and elder care in Northern Colorado in recent years.

If you recognize McCormick as someone who may have been assigned to care for you, a loved one, or a friend and if you have concerns of abuse or you recognize McCormick as an employee of such a facility, please call the Loveland Police Department at 970-962-2032.
