COMMERCE CITY, Colo — A teenager who was riding in a vehicle with their family was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night in Commerce City.
According to police, the family of four was traveling on Holly Street near East 58th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when another driver struck their vehicle. The family had the right of way, according to police. A teen in the vehicle was killed. Their parents and another teen in the car were seriously hurt.
The driver and passengers in the other vehicle got out, jumped into another nearby vehicle, and fled the scene, Commerce City Police said. The vehicle, an Audi, was left behind. Police said they are in contact with the owners of that vehicle and are continuing to investigate.
