AURORA, Colo. — A man is dead after a shooting in Aurora Saturday.
The Aurora Police Department said in a release that officers responded to the southwest corner of East Colfax Avenue and North Havana Street just after 2 p.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting.
When they got there, police said, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he died soon after.
Police said the shooter left the scene and has not been caught. They believe the shooting was targeted and that the shooter and the victim knew each other.
The circumstances of the shooting are unknown, according to police.
The victim will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
