1 driver, 2 people at bus stop injured in Denver crash

A driver and two pedestrians were hospitalized after the crash late Tuesday on South Federal Boulevard.

DENVER — A driver and two pedestrians were hurt in a two-vehicle crash that happened late Tuesday night, according to Denver Police.

About 9:35 p.m. officers responded to a two-car crash in the 2700 block of South Federal Boulevard, near West Yale Avenue. When they arrived, they found the vehicles had also struck two pedestrians at a nearby bus stop, police said.

One person from a vehicle and both pedestrians were taken to a hospital.

One of the drivers, a teenage boy, left the scene but later returned and was arrested. He is being held on three counts of vehicular assault, three counts of leaving the scene of an accident causing serious injuries, no proof of insurance, failure to notify police of an accident and driving without a license, according to police.

The District Attorney’s Office will make the final determination on charges.
