Bid rejected for Carvalho
Southampton have had a £15m bid for Fabio Carvalho rejected by Liverpool.
According to Sky Sports, the Reds are reluctant to sell a player who they believe has a big future at the club.
Phillips expected to leave
While it has been reported Galatasaray can’t afford Kalvin Phillips’ transfer fee, there is still plenty of interest in the midfielder.
It is expected that the England star will leave Man City, following his ill-fated spell at the club.
And it appears even more likely that Phillips will head abroad.
Roma and RB Leipzig are also keeping tabs on him.
Liverpool target Olympics 2024 ace Soler
Liverpool want left-back Julio Soler and see him as Andy Robertson’s long-term replacement.
The Reds have been watching Argentine Soler, 19, at the Olympic Games and made contact with his club Lanus back home.
Lanus are looking for around £13million for their youngster, who could be a huge and very shrewd investment.
At the Paris Olympics, he made four appearances and assisted one goal.
He has already made 36 appearances for Lanus’ first team in all competitions.
Chelsea interest in Celtic hero Matt O’Riley
Chelsea have joined Celtic star Matt O’Riley’s growing list of admirers.
But Southampton boss Russell Martin hopes his strong relationship with the Hoops ace — after their time together at MK Dons — can help him win the race for his signature.
Chelsea have him on their wanted list as a potential replacement for Conor Gallagher, with the England midfielder set to leave.
Saints have already had a £14million bid rejected, but are likely to come back for the 23-year-old Denmark cap.
Brighton have been long-term admirers, and Crystal Palace are also watching the auction and may join.
O’Riley has also been chased by Italian side Atalanta all summer, but Premier League football may appeal more.
Gallagher talks
Atletico Madrid reportedly held “positive” talks with Conor Gallagher on Saturday.
Fabrizio Romano revealed: “Chelsea and Atlético are working to get his green light, all parties confident but there are still some details to clarify.
“Chelsea would get €40m fee and they hope to get it done soon.”
Gomez eyeing exit
Joe Gomez is reportedly eyeing a move away from Liverpool.
The England defender is said to be unsettled after reports claimed he was a makeweight in a deal that would have taken Anthony Gordon to the Reds.
HITC add Arne Slot wants him to stay, but can’t guarantee him a first team spot.
