Shooting at on-campus DU apartment leaves intruder dead

DENVER — Police said an intruder was shot and killed at an on-campus apartment at the University of Denver early Sunday morning.

Denver Police said the resident of the apartment, a man, came home just before 1 a.m. and was startled by the intruder.

The resident shot the intruder, who died at the scene.

Police only said the intruder was a man. The resident is cooperating with the investigation, DPD said.
