Multiple storage units damaged during fire in Centennial

A total of 32 units were directly affected by the fire and 48 units had smoke and fire damage, according to South Metro Fire.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Multiple units at a Centennial Public Storage were damaged during a fire Sunday evening.

The fire happened at 5212 South Parker Road, according to South Metro Fire Rescue.

South Metro first posted about the fire at about 7:51 p.m. South Parker Road was closed in the area, South Metro Fire said in a post on the social media platform X.

At about 8:33 p.m. Sunday, South Metro reported that the fire was under control. A total of 48 storage units were damaged by smoke and water. A total of 32 units were directly affected by the fire, according to South Metro Fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported from this fire, South Metro Fire said. 

Just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday, South Parker Road was reopened in both directions.
