Morning Fresh Dairy Farm said an influx of people at their farm was the reason the monolith was removed.
BELLVUE, Colo. — A monolith that mysteriously appeared on a hill at a northern Colorado dairy farm has been removed.
The shiny, tall, rectangular object appeared in a field about 70 miles north of Denver in Larimer County on June 26. It was installed on private property in the community of Bellvue, north of Horsetooth Reservoir in Larimer County, and drew crowds of curious onlookers.
Morning Fresh Dairy Farm, where the monolith appeared, posted to Facebook on Wednesday morning that they had removed it and are keeping it safe.
The farm said an “overwhelming influx of people coming to the farm” to see the monolith was their reason for removing it.
A 9NEWS viewer said that the monolith was removed about 7 a.m. Wednesday.
“Within 30 minutes of my arrival … a team and forklift appeared to unbolt the monolith and haul it away,” the viewer said.
The folks at Morning Fresh Dairy Farm said the maker of the monolith can come get their creation, if they want to get it back, by emailing HowlingCowCafe@gmail.com.
Another monolith was installed in the mountains outside of Las Vegas just days before the northern Colorado monolith appeared.
