All southbound lanes of I-225 were closed due to a 3-vehicle crash at 17th Place.
AURORA, Colo. — All lanes of Interstate 225 are closed Monday morning due to a crash.
Aurora Police Department (APD) said at 6 a.m. all lanes of of southbound I-225 were closed at 17th Place, just north of Colfax Avenue.
Traffic was being diverted onto the 17th Place exit where motorists can immediately get back onto the interstate from there.
APD reported multiple injures from this crash.
“We appreciate your patience while we investigate and work to open up the lanes as quickly and safely as possible,” APD said.
Video from SKY9 showed debris covering all southbound lanes of the interstate following the crash.
