STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. — A small plane crashed in a Steamboat Springs mobile home park Monday afternoon.
The Steamboat Springs Police Department said the plane crashed in West Acres Trailer Court, which is just south of the Steamboat airport, around 4:30 p.m. Two homes and several outbuildings were engulfed in fire after the crash. Police said all of the residents of the mobile home park were accounted for.
The Federal Aviation Administration said it’s unclear how many people were onboard the plane, a twin-engine Cessna 421. The plane was approaching the Steamboat Springs Airport when it crashed, the FAA said.
