A home in the 300 block of 1st Street in Deer Trail was destroyed in the fire Friday morning.
DEER TRAIL, Colo. — Three residents in their 80s escaped a house fire in Deer Trail Friday morning.
Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the fire broke out around 5:20 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of 1st Street.
The residents were able to escape the home without injuries.
The home was completely engulfed and destroyed by the fire. No surrounding homes were damaged.
Multiple agencies responded including Deer Trail Fire, Byers Fire, Bennett Fire, Sable Altura Fire, Strasburg Fire and Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office Victim Assistance department is assisting the displaced residents.
