Five people were injured, including two who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department is investigating a six-vehicle crash that closed eastbound lanes of Colfax Avenue east of Interstate 225.
Police initially reported seven vehicles were involved in the crash. Police later updated that number to six vehicles involved, including five passenger vehicles and an RTD bus. The bus was hit by debris and had minor damage, police said. No passengers on the bus were injured, Aurora Police said in a tweet.
The crash happened just after 6 a.m. Monday, according to a tweet from Aurora Police. Officers are investigating a medical issue as a possible cause of the crash, police said.
Five people were injured in the crash, including two people who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police. Three others reported minor injuries, police tweeted.
Eastbound lanes of Colfax Avenue remain closed as of noon. One lane of westbound traffic is open.
