No students reported serious injuries, according to the 27J School District.
BRIGHTON, Colo. — A school bus belonging to the 27J School District was rear-ended Thursday morning on Bridge Street, according to the district.
A district spokesman said 16 middle and high school students were on the bus when it was rear-ended. None of them had serious injuries and none of them were transported from the scene by ambulance.
They were all evaluated at the scene by responding EMS as a precaution, the district said.
District staff were contacting the parents or guardians of each student directly. The district said some parents picked up their children for further medical evaluation, but only minor injuries were reported. According to the district, the majority of students who were on the bus were being transported to school.
It is not known at this time if the other driver was injured or if anyone will be cited as a result of the crash.
