Police said at least four people believed to be involved have been detained. No arrests have been made.
AURORA, Colo. — Two young teens were injured and at least four juveniles have been detained after a shooting at an apartment complex in Aurora Wednesday.
Aurora Police said the shooting happened just after 4 p.m. at the complex near at 12437 East Ford Avenue, which is northeast of South Peoria Street and East Mississippi Avenue.
A 12-year-old boy and 14-year-old boy were injured in the shooting, but they are both expected to survive, Aurora Police said.
Police said that when they responded to the area they found several juveniles who they believe were involved in the shooting. At least four of those teens were detained, but police said there have not been any arrests made. They also believe there is another suspect they have not found.
Police said they believe the suspects knew the victims.
It’s not clear what led up to the shooting.
