Police said they found two men dead with gunshot wounds at the Holiday Inn in Parker, near the intersection of E-470 and South Parker Road.
PARKER, Colo. — The Parker Police Department said it is investigating after two men were found dead with gunshot wounds Tuesday at a hotel.
Officers and detectives were at Parker Holiday Inn, located at 19308 Cottonwood Drive, according to a post at 1:22 p.m. on the Parker Police X account, formerly Twitter. That’s near the intersection of E-470 and South Parker Road. The call to police came in at 12:47 p.m.
The victims were found outside the hotel. One was pronounced dead on scene, while the other was taken to a hospital and declared deceased, police said.
Police said the two men were the only ones involved in the shooting, but did not provide further details about what led up to the shooting.
It was not clear whether any suspects were in custody, but police said they weren’t looking for suspects.
Police said it’s early in the investigation and they are still gathering facts.
Sky9 flew over the scene, which appeared to be in the parking lot of the hotel, surrounded by crime scene tape.
The Douglas County Coroner’s Office will identify the victims at a later date.
