Jefferson County deputies said Maya Pozas was last seen at her home near South Kipling Parkway and West Bowles Avenue Saturday night.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A 13-year-old girl from Jefferson County was reported missing after being involved in a reported hit-and-run crash in Denver early Sunday.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said Maya Pozas was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Saturday near her home at South Kipling Parkway and West Bowles Avenue.
Sometime overnight, deputies said, Maya took her mother’s Toyota Avalon. The car was involved in a hit-and-run crash in the 4700 block of Vine Street in north Denver, the sheriff’s office said. The car was found abandoned and Maya has not been seen or heard from, deputies said.
Pozas is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. She has brown hair and eyes, and was last seen wearing black shorts and a black tube top.
